Grape Lemonade with Thyme and Honey

You can replace water with sparkling wine.


2 lb pink grapes
Juice of 1 lemon
2 sprigs thyme
31/2 tbsp honey
4 cups sparkling water


1.If grapes are large, cut 20-30 berries in half (put aside small ones as they are and freeze).

2.Cook syrup using 1/2cup of water, honey and coarsely chopped thyme. Cool completely, 30 minutes, refrigerate.

3.Squeeze out juice from the remaining grapes. Combine grape and lemon juice and syrup in a large pitcher. Pour in ice-cold sparkling water, add grape “ice”, serve immediately.
