This baked fish is cooked in a delicious lemon garlic butter sauce until tender. It is perfect, easy and gluten-free dinner recipe the whole family will love.
1 large fish (trout, halibut, sea bass)
200 g butter
Salt to taste
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
1.For citrus oil, bring butter to room temperature. Remove zest from half of citrus fruits with a fine grater and squeeze juice. Combine butter with 3 teaspoons of citrus juice and zest. Season with salt and pepper. Roll, wrap in сlingfilm and place in the freezer for about 15-20 minutes.
2.Scale fish, gut, remove gills. “Bathe” fish in the remaining citrus juice, salt and pepper on all sides. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
3.Cut whole citrus fruits into slices, arrange around fish. Season with salt and pepper. Drizzle fish and citrus fruits with olive oil.
4.Preheat the oven to 400° F(200° C). Bake fish for 25 minutes. Serve fish hot topped with slices of citrus butter.
