Hot Chicken in pan

This pan-fried chicken recipe is one of the most used recipes in our family. It’s easy and crazy quick to make. And it’s tasty! Besides, the red ingredients in this dish, such as tomatoes and bell peppers, contains lycopene, a power antioxidant.

Ingredients

  • 1 small chicken
  • 1 tsp ground paprika
  • 1 hot red pepper
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 medium bell pepper
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 1 large ripe tomato
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic and a small bunch of cilantro for serving
  • Vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Cut chicken into small pieces. Season with paprika, salt and black pepper. Mix with your hands.
  2. Heat oil in a large pan. Fry chicken over medium heat.
  3. Peel onion and carrot. Cut sweet pepper in half and remove seeds. Cut onion, carrot and sweet pepper into thin strips. Add vegetables to the pan with chicken and simmer under the lid, stirring occasionally, for about 20 minutes.
  4. Cut tomato into large slices. Chop garlic and cilantro.
  5. Put tomato slices to the pan and add a little salt. Cover with the lid and let tomatoes boil.
  6. Remove the pan from the heat. Add garlic and herbs, mix and serve immediately, right in the pan.
